STAFF
At
Biederman Educational Centers, we consider the training of our teachers to be a
fundamental part of our program. Our teachers have a variety of
qualifications that bring together different strengths and ideas. Many of
our teachers either have or are working on a BACHELOR DEGREE, CHILD
DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE DEGREE or COURSES IN EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT.
All of our
teachers participate in our extensive EIGHT WEEK TRAINING PROGRAM.
This program is developed to give our teachers experience and knowledge needed
in an early childhood setting. At the end of the eight week
session, the teacher receives a training certificate. In the training
program, the teachers:
·
work with a
mentor -- watching and learning
·
watch and
discuss training tapes on:
o
developing
lesson plans
o
providing a
safe environment
o
developmental
stages of children
·
learn state
guidelines and our policies
·
read and
discuss articles about different issues pertaining to Early Childhood Education
In addition
to our internal training program, the teachers immediately begin courses to
attain certificates in CPR and FIRST AID. They also take
classes on communicable diseases and preventing and detecting child
abuse. Each year, our teachers take a minimum of 15 hours of in-service
classes. After they receive 45 hours of training, they receive a state
certificate.
At
Biederman Educational Centers, we are proud of all of the qualifications our
caring staff has to share with you and your children during their early
childhood education.
